Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local individual and corporate income tax returns.
- Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial data and explain complex tax concepts.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Perform bookkeeping tasks including bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Ensure all tax filings are submitted accurately and on time to avoid penalties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation required.
- CPA, EA, or Master’s in Taxation is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, Lacerte, UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite.
