Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal and state individual and corporate tax returns.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to support client decisions.
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize liability.
- Ensure strict compliance with current tax laws and IRS regulations.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for audits.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax matters and deadlines.
- Collaborate with senior accountants on complex tax issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting.
- CPA or EA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Drake, Lacerte, ProSystem fx) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
