Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, business, and nonprofit tax returns
- Conduct client consultations to understand financial situations and tax optimization opportunities
- Utilize tax software (ProSystem, Lacerte) for efficient compliance processing
- Research complex tax codes and regulations to ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with senior associates on tax planning strategies
- Maintain meticulous documentation and secure client data
- Participate in continuous training programs to maintain certification status
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic knowledge of federal/state tax regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Eligibility for CPA licensure preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license required
