Overview
As a Tax Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients meet their tax obligations while maximizing their financial efficiency. We are looking for an individual who is proactive, analytical, and ready to take on new challenges in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local individual and business tax returns accurately and timely.
- Perform tax research to ensure compliance with changing tax laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax inquiries, notices, and financial summaries.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for audits.
- Utilize tax software (e.g., ProSeries, Drake) to manage client data efficiently.
- Collaborate with the senior tax team to develop strategic tax planning solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Current CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is a strong plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized tax software.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
