Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and corporate federal and state tax returns with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with changing tax laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax statuses, documentation requests, and audit preparation.
- Utilize industry-standard tax software (e.g., ProSeries, Drake, Lacerte) to optimize workflow and client results.
- Assist in the development of tax strategies to help clients minimize tax liability and maximize deductions.
- Collaborate with senior management on complex tax issues and year-end close procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation, corporate or individual taxation.
- Strong working knowledge of US federal and state tax codes.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax preparation software.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
