Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (Form 1040, 1120, 1065) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax documents, questions, and filing status.
- Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues to ensure full compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for audits.
- Participate in tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability for clients.
- Manage the organization and storage of client tax files and documents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation required.
- Strong working knowledge of tax preparation software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSeries) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- CPA certification or active enrollment in a CPA review course is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
