- Resolve billing discrepancies and payment denials through proactive research
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify coding accuracy and documentation
- Generate monthly billing reports and KPI dashboards for leadership review
- Train staff on billing system updates and process improvements
- Conduct quarterly audits to ensure billing integrity and revenue cycle optimization
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expertise in Epic, NextGen, or Athenahealth EHR systems
- Advanced knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools
- Strong problem-solving skills with 95%+ claim accuracy track record
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or related field
- Ability to manage high-volume billing cycles during month-end close
