Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local individual and corporate income tax returns.
- Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize liability and maximize savings.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax filings, notices, and financial inquiries.
- Organize and maintain accurate client tax files and documentation.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline month-end and year-end processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation (CPA or EA preferred).
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, Drake, Lacerte).
- Strong understanding of U.S. tax code and filing requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
