Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and compliance analysis using authoritative resources
- Develop tax planning strategies to optimize client outcomes
- Manage client relationships and communicate complex tax concepts clearly
- Collaborate with audit teams on multi-disciplinary engagements
- Utilize tax software (ProSystem fx, CCH Axcess) for efficient processing
- Stay current with tax law changes through continuous education
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience (public accounting preferred)
- Active CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of IRS e-file procedures and state compliance requirements
