Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and corporate income tax returns ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary documentation and explain complex tax concepts.
- Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with current federal and state regulations.
- Assist in tax planning strategies to help clients minimize tax liability legally.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., Drake, Lacerte, QuickBooks) to manage filing processes efficiently.
- Maintain organized client files and ensure strict adherence to confidentiality standards.
- Collaborate with the senior tax team to meet strict filing deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation is strongly preferred.
- CPA or EA certification is a significant plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax preparation software.
