Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual and corporate tax returns ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic planning advice to clients
- Manage client relationships through proactive communication and problem resolution
- Utilize tax software (ProSystem Tax, Lacerte) for efficient processing
- Collaborate with senior staff on complex tax cases and audit support
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with IRS standards
- Stay updated on tax law changes through continuous professional development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 2+ years of tax preparation experience (CPA candidates preferred)
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client management abilities
- Active CPA license or eligibility to sit for CPA exam
- Knowledge of California tax regulations and Fresno-specific requirements
