Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns ensuring compliance with IRS/state regulations
- Conduct tax research and analyze complex financial data to optimize client tax strategies
- Manage client relationships through proactive communication and accurate reporting
- Assist in IRS/state tax audits and represent clients during examinations
- Utilize tax software (Lacerte, ProSystem) for efficient filing and documentation
- Collaborate with senior advisors on tax planning opportunities and risk mitigation
- Stay updated on tax law changes and implement relevant process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 2-3 years of tax preparation experience in public accounting or corporate tax
- Proficiency in tax software and MS Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written/verbal communication and client management abilities
- Knowledge of IRS regulations and state tax codes
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Active CPA license or pursuing certification
