Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual, corporate, and partnership federal and state income tax returns.
- Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
- Review financial statements and identify tax-saving opportunities for clients.
- Communicate complex tax concepts to clients in a clear and professional manner.
- Assist with tax planning strategies and year-end close procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and tax files.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of tax software (e.g., UltraTax, Drake, ProSeries).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be located in Laredo, TX or willing to relocate immediately.
