Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and corporate clients
- Conduct tax research and provide compliance guidance on evolving tax regulations
- Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize savings
- Collaborate with senior tax professionals on complex tax engagements
- Review financial statements and identify tax optimization opportunities
- Maintain accurate client documentation and ensure audit readiness
- Utilize tax software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSystem fx) for efficient processing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience (public or private)
- CPA candidate or actively pursuing CPA license
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Nebraska residency or willingness to relocate
