Responsibilities
- Analyze credit applications and financial documents to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare detailed credit reports with risk recommendations and lending terms
- Monitor existing portfolios for potential delinquencies and recommend mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure credit solutions aligned with bank policies
- Stay current on industry regulations (e.g., Fair Credit Reporting Act) and compliance standards
- Develop financial models to forecast repayment capacity and market risks
- Present findings to credit committees with clear, data-driven recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling tools (Excel, Bloomberg)
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB) preferred
- Expertise in analyzing financial statements and cash flow projections
- Knowledge of SBA lending guidelines and commercial real estate financing
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly
