Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with evolving tax regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify optimization opportunities for clients
- Collaborate with senior staff on complex tax planning strategies
- Manage client relationships through proactive communication and advisory services
- Utilize tax software (ProSystem fx, CCH) for efficient processing
- Assist in tax audits and IRS inquiries
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to firm quality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification
- 2+ years of tax preparation experience in public accounting
- Proficiency in tax software (ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or CCH)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
