Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation of accounts.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and provide documentation to external auditors.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
