Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile monthly financial statements for diverse client portfolios
- Prepare and file accurate sales tax returns with Tennessee state authorities
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and optimize cash flow
- Assist with month-end closing processes and journal entries
- Implement QuickBooks solutions for small business clients
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making
- Maintain strict compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience with QuickBooks
- Proven expertise in Tennessee tax compliance requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with nonprofit or hospitality accounting a plus
