Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliation
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash flow management
- Collaborate with leadership on budget forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic financial planning
- Implement and improve internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for multi-state operations
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide training on financial systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years in remote settings
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and ERP systems (Sage 100 experience a plus)
- Deep understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and multi-state tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage month-end close processes with minimal supervision
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
