Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger entries and oversee the month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring strict adherence to GAAP.
- Oversee and maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and other regulatory compliance reporting.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and assist in budget forecasting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
