Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Manage complex multi-state tax compliance filings and audits
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures with precision
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Collaborate with audit teams and resolve financial discrepancies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and Excel with macros
- Expert knowledge of California tax regulations and GAAP standards
- Proven track record of improving financial reporting processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to minute details
