Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are properly recorded and reconciled.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Assist with the preparation of federal and state tax returns, including reviewing schedules and supporting documentation.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monthly close procedures efficiently to meet strict deadlines.
- Conduct internal audits and internal controls reviews to identify areas for process improvement.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and adjustments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in accounting or a related financial role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
