Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the annual external audit process by providing requested documentation and supporting schedules.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements, identifying and resolving variances promptly.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure proper depreciation calculations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and inconsistencies in financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
