Responsibilities
- Prepare and file complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and corporations
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic planning advice to minimize tax liabilities
- Lead client consultations and maintain long-term financial advisory relationships
- Manage audit defense processes and represent clients before tax authorities
- Supervise junior associates and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Develop innovative tax solutions for mergers, acquisitions, and business expansions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or corporate tax
- Expert knowledge of IRS regulations, tax codes, and compliance requirements
- Advanced proficiency in tax software (ProSystem, Lacerte, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to complex financial details
- Excellent communication skills for client presentations and team leadership
- Active CPA license and clean compliance record
