At Apex Financial Solutions, we believe in fostering a culture of transparency and growth. As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will have the opportunity to lead key initiatives and mentor junior staff members.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger accounting activities and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations (bank, credit card, and intercompany).
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, for management and external stakeholders.
- Support external auditors during year-end audits and prepare necessary schedules and documentation.
- Review and approve accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Contribute to the month-end and year-end close process, adhering to strict deadlines.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA certification is highly preferred or active CPA candidate status.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
