Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring full compliance with GAAP standards.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for executive review.
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely transaction processing.
- Conduct variance analysis and assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and support external auditors.
- Implement and optimize internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff on best practices and software usage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate or professional services environment.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
