As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records and providing strategic insights to drive business growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) to maintain accurate financial data.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide financial reporting to senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial data.
- Must be a self-starter capable of working independently in a remote environment.
