Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations for 15-20 clients using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance commentary
- Lead tax compliance processes including sales tax filings and quarterly payroll taxes
- Implement financial controls and process improvements for client accounting systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and strategic planning
- Maintain GAAP compliance and SOX documentation standards
- Provide financial consulting to small and medium-sized businesses in Kansas City
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Proven track record of managing full-cycle accounting for multiple entities
- Expert knowledge of Missouri tax regulations and GAAP standards
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written communication skills for client reporting
- Experience with remote work tools (Slack, Asana, Zoom)
