Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial entries.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including variance analysis and reconciliation.
- Supervise the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring vendor and client relationships are maintained.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing data-driven insights to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to non-financial stakeholders.
