Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement
- Prepare and review tax documents, payroll reports, and regulatory compliance filings
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure financial integrity and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial initiatives
- Train junior staff on accounting systems and best practices
- Implement and optimize cloud-based accounting software solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work proficiency
- Expertise in GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar cloud accounting platforms
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing multi-state compliance requirements
- Excellent communication skills for client/stakeholder interactions
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment
