Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow) ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes with meticulous attention to detail
- Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors for seamless compliance
- Develop and implement automated accounting workflows using QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct
- Provide strategic financial insights to executive teams through variance analysis and KPI reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and optimize working capital management
- Mentor junior accountants and improve departmental accounting procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate settings
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and accounting software (Sage Intacct experience a plus)
- Demonstrated expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial forecasting and budgeting
- Exceptional communication abilities for presenting complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders
- Proven track record of improving accounting processes and reducing reporting cycles
- Remote work experience with demonstrated ability to self-manage deliverables
