Responsibilities
- Analyze commercial credit applications, financial statements, and market trends to assess borrower risk and repayment capacity
- Prepare comprehensive credit memoranda and risk assessments for executive review and loan committee presentations
- Monitor existing credit portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults or market shifts
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure credit solutions aligned with client needs and regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain risk mitigation strategies for high-value commercial accounts
- Lead ad-hoc financial investigations and due diligence for special lending initiatives
- Maintain strict compliance with federal banking regulations and internal credit policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics (MBA/CFA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience with demonstrated success in portfolio management
- Expert proficiency in financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and credit risk assessment tools
- Deep understanding of Hawaii's business landscape and Pacific economic indicators
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial forecasting and scenario analysis
- Strong presentation skills with ability to articulate complex financial concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Professional certification (CRCM, CFA, or CMA) highly desirable
