Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Enterprise platform
- Manage complex garnishments, deductions, and tax compliance across 15 jurisdictions
- Lead month-end/year-end payroll closing procedures and reconciliations
- Implement process improvements using data analytics to reduce errors by 30%
- Collaborate with HR and Finance on benefits administration and 401(k) contributions
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance for payroll controls
- Train and mentor junior payroll specialists on best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- Advanced certification through APA (CPP or FPC) required
- Expert proficiency in ADP Enterprise and Ceridian HCM
- Deep knowledge of federal/state tax regulations (FLSA, FICA, FUTA)
- Proven experience with payroll audits and compliance documentation
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Ability to handle confidential data with discretion and integrity
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
