Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end payroll processing for over 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accurate salary, tax, and benefit deductions.
- Prepare and file quarterly and annual federal, state, and local payroll tax returns (e.g., Form 941, state reconciliations) to ensure full compliance.
- Conduct regular payroll audits to identify discrepancies, resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees, and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with the Benefits and HR departments to update payroll codes, ensure accurate data entry for new hires and terminations, and process complex compensation adjustments.
- Maintain and update payroll policies and procedures to align with changing labor laws and company best practices.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports, variance analysis, and labor cost data for management reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources is preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on payroll processing experience, preferably in a mid-to-large-sized organization.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements (FCRA, FLSA, state-specific laws).
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Professional certification (e.g., CPP, PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive financial data with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
