Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and provide compliance guidance using provided software and databases
- Review financial statements to identify tax optimization opportunities
- Collaborate with senior tax professionals on complex tax strategies
- Utilize company-provided laptops, tax software, and secure document management systems
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure adherence to tax regulations
- Participate in continuous training on tax law updates and digital tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of tax preparation experience with Big 4 or mid-size firm
- Proficiency in tax software (provided) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of IRS regulations and state tax codes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
- Valid NJ driver's license for occasional client meetings
- Ability to work independently with provided remote equipment
