Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle bookkeeping process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bank reconciliations to ensure complete data accuracy and integrity.
- Process payroll and manage federal and state tax filings in strict compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Assist external auditors and tax preparers with year-end audits and tax documentation.
- Reconcile credit card statements and review expense reports for accuracy.
- Maintain an organized filing system for both physical and digital financial records.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency with accounting software, specifically QuickBooks Online (Advanced level preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and federal/state tax regulations.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups) and experience with ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation is preferred but not mandatory.
