Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and corporate income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable laws.
- Conduct tax research to support complex client scenarios and identify tax-saving opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to explain tax results and resolve inquiries.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for audit purposes.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and organize client tax files and documentation in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred but not mandatory.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, UltraTax, or Lacerte).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
