Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure 100% compliance.
- Review tax returns for accuracy and resolve discrepancies or audit issues.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information and explain tax concepts clearly.
- Assist in tax planning and advisory services to maximize client savings.
- Utilize tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, UltraTax) efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client financial data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or EA certification preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of individual and corporate tax laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax preparation software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
