As a Senior Financial Analyst at Apex, you will be responsible for driving profitability through rigorous data analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning. You will serve as a key partner to senior leadership, providing the insights needed to navigate complex market trends.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex financial modeling and variance analysis to track performance against budget and forecast.
- Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for executive leadership.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop and maintain robust dashboards using SQL and data visualization tools.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve operational efficiency and cost management.
- Present financial data and strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or investment banking.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA, Macros), SQL, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment in New York City.
