Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards to provide actionable insights to senior management.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, analyzing variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Compliance & Auditing: Coordinate with external auditors and internal teams to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization within the accounting department to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Payroll & Accounts Payable: Oversee month-end close processes, including payroll verification and vendor account reconciliations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite preferred).
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of GAAP, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
