Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end closing processes with reconciliations across accounts
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls and documentation
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Create financial models for forecasting and variance analysis
- Mentor junior accountants on technical accounting principles
- Streamline accounting workflows using ERP systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Expertise in full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel with macros
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
