Responsibilities
- Analyze commercial loan applications, financial statements, and creditworthiness of businesses
- Prepare detailed credit memos with risk assessments and repayment capacity evaluations
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure competitive financing solutions
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and internal credit policies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banking partners and clients
- Contribute to continuous improvement of credit risk assessment methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Proficiency in financial modeling and cash flow analysis
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, credit scoring models, and regulatory requirements
- Advanced Excel skills with ability to build complex financial spreadsheets
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills
- Experience with lending software (e.g., Fiserv, Jack Henry)
- Professional certification (CRCM, CMB) preferred
