Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of credit applications, financial statements, and tax returns to determine credit limits and risk exposure.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models and underwriting guidelines to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Monitor existing accounts for signs of financial distress and recommend proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and presentations for the credit committee.
- Collaborate with sales and relationship managers to provide technical credit support.
- Utilize financial software (SAP, Oracle) to track portfolio performance and reporting metrics.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic indicators affecting credit risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a Credit Analyst or in a similar financial role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and financial modeling.
- Deep understanding of credit risk assessment principles and financial analysis techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Ability to work independently in a remote-friendly environment and manage multiple priorities.
