Responsibilities
- Prepare and file complex federal, state, and international tax returns for corporate clients
- Conduct tax research and compliance analysis to optimize client outcomes
- Collaborate with senior consultants on tax planning strategies and M&A transactions
- Manage client relationships through quarterly tax reviews and proactive advisory sessions
- Lead IRS audit support and tax controversy resolution initiatives
- Maintain accurate documentation in tax preparation software (UltraTax, ProSystem)
- Train junior associates on emerging tax regulations and software updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of public accounting tax experience with Big 4 or mid-tier firm
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
- Deep knowledge of US tax code (IRC 263A, 482, transfer pricing regulations)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client presentations
- Active CPA license or in final stages of certification
