As a Night Shift Accountant, you will play a key role in the financial close process, working autonomously to deliver precise reports and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute nightly financial close procedures, including journal entries and bank reconciliations.
- Process payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions with strict accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and variance reports for leadership review.
- Conduct internal audits of financial records to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Manage the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and financial schedules.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, with a preference for night shift experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently during off-hours.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is highly preferred.
