Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and underwriting analyses for new and existing client portfolios.
- Review and analyze financial statements, credit reports, and collateral documentation to determine creditworthiness.
- Develop and maintain detailed credit files and internal risk models to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare and present credit memos and recommendations to the Credit Committee.
- Monitor and manage delinquent accounts, identifying trends and recommending recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide credit support during the loan origination process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial risk management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and financial modeling software.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and market trends.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting to senior management.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards (e.g., OCC, FDIC) is a plus.
