Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial statements, cash flows, and credit applications to assess borrower risk
- Prepare detailed credit reports with recommendations for approval, modification, or denial
- Monitor existing portfolios for compliance and identify early warning signs of credit deterioration
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure optimal financing solutions for clients
- Stay current on industry regulations, economic trends, and market conditions affecting credit decisions
- Present credit analyses to credit committees with clear, data-driven recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg)
- Strong understanding of GAAP, credit policies, and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to interpret complex financial data and identify risk factors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholder management experience
- Professional certification (CRCM, CMB, or CFA) highly desirable
