As a Bank Teller, you will be the face of our branch, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring accurate financial transactions.
Responsibilities
- Process customer deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other transactions accurately and efficiently using the core banking system.
- Cash checks and handle cash drawers with strict adherence to security protocols and accounting procedures.
- Build lasting relationships with customers by providing superior service, answering inquiries, and resolving issues with professionalism.
- Identify and cross-sell banking products and services, such as savings accounts, CDs, and credit cards, to meet branch goals.
- Assist with branch operations, including opening and closing procedures, balancing daily work, and maintaining a tidy lobby.
- Assist in the processing of new account openings and maintain accurate customer records.
- Adhere to all regulatory compliance standards, including BSA/AML regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; some college or banking certification is preferred.
- Previous cash handling and customer service experience is highly desirable.
- Strong mathematical skills with a proven ability to perform mental arithmetic and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clientele.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and some evenings.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with banking software applications.
