Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough credit analysis and risk assessment on loan applications, focusing on equipment financing portfolios.
- Review financial statements, tax returns, and credit reports to evaluate borrower capacity and creditworthiness.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models and underwriting guidelines specific to the equipment leasing industry.
- Monitor and manage delinquency accounts, identifying trends and recommending recovery strategies.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and presentations for senior management review and approval.
- Collaborate with sales teams to provide credit solutions that meet client needs while mitigating risk.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic factors affecting the credit market.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial risk management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and financial modeling software.
- Familiarity with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client and internal reporting.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
