Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate financial record-keeping in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed on time.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management on budget vs. actual performance.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA/CMA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and tax compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and analysis.
